Job Description Job Description Columbus Technical College seeks
a dedicated and experienced individual to serve as the Program
Director/Instructor for the Nurse Aide and Allied Health programs.
This full-time position requires a dynamic leader to oversee all
aspects of program development and instruction, ensuring compliance
with the Georgia Department of Community Health’s Nurse Aide
Training Program (NATP) policies and standards. The role includes
administrative leadership, student evaluation, classroom,
laboratory, and clinical instruction. Additional duties include
attending staff development training, workshops, seminars,
conferences, and advisory committee meetings and completing
mandatory staff development training. This position is

move about or stand for long periods; Position also requires
bending, stooping, reaching, and ability to safely lift up to 50lbs
unassisted. Please note the following information regarding this
position: May be required to teach high school students May require
teaching on or off campus throughout our service delivery area
(Muscogee County, Stewart County, Quitman County, Chattahoochee
County, Harris County, and Talbot County) May require travel Key
Responsibilities: Provide leadership and administrative oversight
for the Nurse Aide and Allied Health programs Deliver engaging
instruction in classroom, lab, and clinical settings. Develop and
update program and course outlines, lesson plans, and instructional
materials in alignment with state standards. Assess student
progress, prepare and submit reports, and maintain accurate
academic records. Ensure documentation meets accreditation
standards and organizational policies. Maintain consistency across
syllabi, evaluations, and teaching tools. Utilize and stay current
with technology and learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard).
Participate in mandatory staff development training, professional
workshops, and advisory committee meetings. Promote a positive work
environment and demonstrate strong work ethics, time management,
and communication skills. Coordinate and conduct program advisory
committee meetings. Support faculty orientation, recruitment,
retention, and job placement efforts. Order textbooks, manage
program supplies and equipment, and ensure safety and security in
training areas. Perform additional duties as assigned by
leadership. Additional Expectations: Knowledge of Nurse Aide
Training Program (NATP) policies and procedures. Strong
organizational, supervisory, and time management skills. Effective
verbal and written communication. Competency in Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel) and familiarity with learning platforms like
Blackboard. Physical ability to move about or stand for long
periods; Position also requires bending, stooping, reaching, and
ability to safely lift up to 50lbs unassisted. Flexible, adaptable,
and responsive to process changes and evolving instructional needs.
Willingness to support students’ success through mentorship and
collaboration with colleagues. Active participation in relevant
professional organizations and continuing education. Minimum
Qualifications: Associate degree or higher in Nursing (RN) from an
accredited college or university One or more years of experience
working as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a long-term care facility
(nursing home). Two (2) or more years of experience as an RN
Current Georgia or Multi-State License as an RN Current BLS
Certification Preferred Qualifications: Current Georgia Nurse Aide
Train-the-Trainer Certificate Current BLS instructor certification
Postsecondary teaching experience Salary/Benefits: Salary is
commensurate with education/experience. Benefits include state
