moving beyond high-level theory into the tactical execution of
circuit migrations and hardware optimization. You will take
ownership of the end-to-end "A-to-Z" circuit lifecycle—from

(MRP) to develop detailed Migration Circuit Plans for transport
circuits. Engineer Path Solutions: Identify strategic "turn points"
in existing paths and design new equipment routes from the turn
point to the core site. Execute Grooming Plans: Prepare precision
design updates and circuit groom cutsheets, ensuring
zero-to-minimal impact on service availability. Reclaim Capacity:
Audit the network to remove "stranded" cross-connects and
decommission circuits with 0% utilization to pave the way for new
growth. Collaborate & Solve: Act as the technical lead in resolving
JEOPS (Joint Engineering & Operations) gaps and planning hurdles.
What You Should Have Transport Expertise: Extensive hands-on
knowledge of network layers and a wide variety of transport
equipment (e.g., DWDM, SONET, Optical Mesh ). Inventory Mastery:
Proven experience with network inventory management systems (e.g.,
Granite, Netcracker, MSS ) and reconciling complex equipment
records. Planning Precision: Ability to translate high-level
planning packages into granular, executable engineering cutsheets.
Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to identify capacity needs and
troubleshoot logical vs. physical pathing discrepancies. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
industry experience. Preferred Skills & Certifications Industry
Certifications: CCNA/CCNP Service Provider , Nokia NRS , or Ciena
