Job Description Job Description Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description Perform all quality assurance inspection procedures efficiently, accurately, and timely to maintain workflow through the quality department. Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections of machined and structural sheet metal parts using inspection tools, engineering drawings, process specifications, mylars, contour templates, and form blocks. Inspect received materials for conformance to purchase order requirements and document nonconforming material for MRB review and disposition. Complete documentation, including work orders/job travelers and inspection reports, log completed jobs in the ERP system, and ensure smooth product transition to the next stage. Responsibilities Perform quality assurance inspection procedures efficiently, accurately, and timely. Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections of machined and structural sheet metal parts. Use inspection tools, engineering drawings, process specifications, mylars, contour templates, and form blocks for inspections. Inspect received materials to verify conformance to purchase order requirements. Document nonconforming material and prepare NCMR data for MRB review and disposition. Complete pertinent documentation, including work orders/job travelers and inspection reports. Log completed jobs in the ERP system and move products to the next stage. Ensure all parts, assemblies, and materials are free from damage and foreign object debris (FOD). Verify pick tickets for accuracy and traceability. Assess customer returned material (RMA) and provide feedback for disposition. Assist in training Quality Assurance inspectors. Essential Skills Quality Inspection Blueprint Interpretation Document Control Experience with Mics & Cals MRP System proficiency Root cause analysis ISO standards knowledge Corrective action plans Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing environment Proficient with calipers and micrometers Visual inspection and quality check experience Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
