We are looking for a Regional EHS Manager to perform these key functions at our Macon, GA location. Position Summary: Develops and implements policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with regulations and provides resources to meet the needs of one or more rapidly changing/growing business units. Serves as a mentor and trusted resource to employees at all levels of the organization. Essential Functions: Develops, implements, and evaluates corporate EHS programs, policies, and procedures Ensures organization complies with federal, state, and local regulations for environmental Audits the organization's facilities, equipment, procedures, training and recordkeeping to identify areas of improvement Develops and implements EHS training program in accordance with master schedule including new miner training, annual refresher and weekly safety topics; ensures training materials are current and relevant Promotes a culture of continual improvement and behavior-based safety Conducts and/or approves accident investigations; recommends and implements corrective actions Develops technical and professional skills within EHS team; ensures team members are cross trained across divisions Ensures deadlines are met across divisions for EHS compliance tasks and agency reporting Manages the EHS pre and post approval process for capital projects Manages the electronic work order system across all divisions Coordinates with local resources to manage all plant and mine related environmental plans and permits Sets SMART goals, performs on-going coaching and addresses potential opportunities and/or conflicts Follows and adheres to all QMS procedures and documentation as applicable to position and department, and as required by ISO, such as CAPAs, document control, control of records, etc. Other duties as assigned Job Requirements and Skill Sets: 10 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a mining or manufacturing environment 3 years demonstrated management experience Bachelor's degree in relevant field of knowledge Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships and facilitate learning Strong working knowledge of MSHA and OSHA regulations Familiar with related reference standards (ACGIH, ANSI, NIOSH, NFPA, and NEC) Public speaking skills required Proficiency with computers including all Office products and internet One or more certifications preferred: MSP, CMSP, ASP, OHST, MSHA Instructor, 30 Hour OSHA General Industry, or other safety-related qualifications Valid driver's license required In addition to a great working environment, AMI offers an excellent total compensation package which includes: --- Medical/Prescription & Dental --- 401k Plan including an Employer Match, up to 6% --- Short & long-term disability, at no cost --- Group term life, at no cost --- Vision at discounted rates --- Voluntary life at discounted rates --- 10 paid holidays --- 3 personal days --- 3 weeks Paid Time Off --- Employee Assistance Programs --- Leadership Development --- Other great perks "Active Minerals International is an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate on the basis of age, color, religion, disability, marital status, national origin, race, sex, sexual orientation, or veteran status."
