The Chief Information Officer (CIO) serves as the senior IT leader and oversees the central IT organization ' Information Technology. This position is responsible for overseeing the technology operations of the college and directing the Information Technology Division including the provision of Client Technology Services, Information Security & Network Services, Web Services, Enterprise Application Services, and Audio-Visual Services. This is not a remote position.Responsibilities--- Is responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies.--- Oversees all information technology operations for the college; manages the installation, maintenance, repair and upgrade of computers, software, enterprise systems, servers, telecommunications equipment, instructional support systems, audio/visual technology, web services, and other related information technology systems and assets.--- Provides vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives.--- Possesses and communicates a clear vision for IT through effective messaging and partnering with other internal constituencies.--- Directs the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in accordance with the mission, core values, and purpose of the institution.--- Ensures security of user information and systems in conjunction with the Chief Information Security Officer.--- Manages IT staffing including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions in accordance with institutional goals, objectives, and budgets.--- Plans and implements new technology systems in support of institutional strategic priorities. The employee frequently lifts light and heavy objects, climbs ladders, and uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.The work is typically performed in an office.The individual fulfilling the responsibilities of this position will be designated as Essential Personnel. As referenced in policy HR.262, Emergency/Inclement Weather Closing, 'Employees whose job responsibilities may require that they work during hazardous or emergency weather conditions to maintain critical institutional functions'may be designated as Essential Employees.
