of the team.How You Contribute and Succeed The Medical Laboratory
Technician will, along with the team, ensure a safe, compliant and
accurate laboratory testing environment and process. The right
person in this role will be detail-oriented and diligent in
monitoring, testing and documenting processes and quality control
measures as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures. He or
she will also be a great teammate to work with; being a role model
of our values and communicating and working with his or her peers
and leadership effectively and will take pride in a job well done.
General duties include:Adhering to all laboratory standard
operating procedures (SOPs) relating to personal safety & chemical
hygieneAssists with temperature monitoring and control of
laboratory sample environments Maintain current knowledge of
reagent stability and storage and proper handling ofreagents, and
associated safety protocolsPrepares standard and Quality Control
stock solutions along with solvents according to the SOPEvaluate
raw and final data for accuracy; recognize and correct errors and
unusualresults; interpret results to produce a final
report.Maintain, calibrate, and clean instrumentation; perform
scheduled and as neededmaintenance and critical function checks
recognizing significant changes in instrument function; trouble
shoot as indicated.Perform required Quality Control/Quality
Assurance duties including: follows qualitycontrol rules; monitor
controls for error detection and take corrective action;
maintainlaboratory records, maintenance logs, reagent and standard
logs, and worksheets.Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and
practicesConstantly reviewing current procedures and coordinate
changes, with supervisorapproval, in order to implement procedures
that will facilitate more accurate and timely reporting of patient
resultsAssumes other duties as assigned by managementAble to
multi-task and prioritize in all aspects of the technician job.The

Laboratory Technician (MLT) from a NAACLS accredited schoolMLT
Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology or
American Medical TechnologistsTwo years of previous experience
