The ideal candidate will have a background in corrections, urgent care, or emergency medicine and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a permanent position that offers competitive compensation and benefits.Responsibilities:
  • Conduct physical examinations and medical assessments of patients in a correctional facility
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and laboratory tests
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and nurses, to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Educate patients about their health conditions and provide advice on healthy lifestyle choices
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
  • Adhere to all legal and ethical standards of practiceQualifications:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies
    • Current certification as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a correctional or similar healthcare setting
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Familiarity with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology
