Job Title: Respiratory Therapy RRT Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (18:30 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: GA RRT License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Trauma experience required - Pulmonary function testing (Spirometry testing) preferred Description: Minimum experience required is 1 year. First-time travelers are accepted. The patient population ranges from infants to geriatrics. Primarily, the focus is on adult RRT but may include pediatric intubated patients. The facility is a level 2 trauma center. It is also interventional stroke certified and has a level 3 NICU. The NICU serves as the regional transport resource. Responsibilities include managing non-invasive ventilation and conventional ventilation. Aerosol therapy and bedside pulmonary function tests are part of the job. The role involves performing arterial lines and oxygen management. Patient education is a key component of the position. Arterial blood gases and capillary blood gases will be performed. The role includes drawing from lines. Floating to other units may be required as necessary. If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two.
