Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU) team. This position involves caring for critically ill surgical and trauma patients, including post-operative and multi-system injury cases. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care skills, experience with CRRT and dialysis, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Roles and Responsibilities: Deliver direct, compassionate care to critically ill trauma and surgical patients Monitor patients with complex needs (e.g., cardiovascular, neurosurgical, orthopedic, oncological) Operate and manage advanced critical care equipment including CRRT and dialysis machines Participate in Open Heart recovery and ensure seamless transition of care Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other care team members Maintain accurate, timely documentation in MEDITECH 6.1 Adhere to infection control and critical care safety protocols Support post-operative recovery with acute care nursing best practices Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of recent STICU or SICU experience Active RN license in Georgia or compact state BLS Certification (Required) Competency with CRRT, dialysis machines, and post-open-heart care Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment in high-acuity scenarios Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with MEDITECH 6.1 EMR Experience in high-volume trauma centers Prior travel nursing experience Application Process: Please submit your resume to ashutosh.kumar@medcadre.com or call 949-620-6188.
