Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU) team. This position involves caring for critically ill surgical and trauma patients, including post-operative and multi-system injury cases. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care skills, experience with CRRT and dialysis, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Roles and Responsibilities: - Deliver direct, compassionate care to critically ill trauma and surgical patients - Monitor patients with complex needs (e.g., cardiovascular, neurosurgical, orthopedic, oncological) - Operate and manage advanced critical care equipment including CRRT and dialysis machines - Participate in Open Heart recovery and ensure seamless transition of care - Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other care team members - Maintain accurate, timely documentation in MEDITECH 6.1 - Adhere to infection control and critical care safety protocols - Support post-operative recovery with acute care nursing best practices Required Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years of recent STICU or SICU experience - Active RN license in Georgia or compact state - BLS Certification (Required) - Competency with CRRT, dialysis machines, and post-open-heart care - Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment in high-acuity scenarios Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with MEDITECH 6.1 EMR - Experience in high-volume trauma centers - Prior travel nursing experience Application Process:/nPlease submit your resume to ashutosh.kumar@medcadre.com or call 949-620-6188.
