Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Med/Surg RN in Albany, Georgia, 31701! Pay Information
$2,650 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse

26 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 48 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Required
Certifications: BLS NIHSS Must-Have: Basic Medical-Surgical skills

rule is enforced. Minimum 1 year of experience in an Acute Care
Med-Surg setting is required. The unit has 14 beds with
nurse-patient ratios of 1:5. Staffing will include RNs and LPNs.
Common diagnoses include admission hold patients, overflow
patients, and discharge pending patients. Patients may include
those in the ED with admission and care orders, pending DME for
discharge, and those requiring transport prior to transferring. The
unit does not accept patients requiring IV drips, inmates, or those
with active infections needing isolation precautions. Basic care
includes medication administration, pain control with PO orders
only, blood sugar checks, oxygen administration via nasal cannula,
and assistance with toileting needs. RNs are not required to
titrate IV drips. Charge nurses may take patient assignments. There
is one certified nursing assistant on the unit. The unit is closed
on weekends. Holiday requirements apply only if they fall during
the week. Potential for floating to a Med-Surg unit may occur if
census is low. Scrubs needed are Caribbean Blue or white with
specific combinations outlined. Typically, 3 shifts of
unit-specific orientation will be provided. Housing options in the
area are safe and regularly have availability. A hotel option
offers a reduced rate for contract workers. The cancellation policy
is 12 hours every 2 weeks. The charting system used is MEDITECH -
6.1. A BSN is not required for this position. Trauma level and care
