Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Macon, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,766 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 1/26/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required License: Current RN License Certifications: - BLS (Basic Life Support) required - BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) required - traveler will be required to pass an EKG competency exam as part of compliance - ACLS - PALS - TNCC - National certification in Emergency nursing preferred but not required Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. This unit has a total of 61 beds plus surge beds. The patient census is typically over 61. You will work with patients experiencing a range of conditions including chest pain, strokes, diabetes, abdominal pain, motor vehicle collisions, hypertension, stabbings, and various mental health issues. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4, depending on the assigned zone. There is support by CNAs who assist with vital signs, glucose checks, bathing, feeding, ambulating patients, turning patients, hourly rounding, and transporting patients as needed. Unit secretarial support and phlebotomy services are available. Respiratory therapy, hospitalist, and intensivist services are on-site 24/7. Telemetry monitoring is centrally managed in the Emergency Department. Technology utilized includes an EMR system, IV pumps, medication dispensing systems, and various monitoring and treatment equipment. Floating may be required within the Emergency Department. Weekends require a rotation of 5-6 shifts out of a total of 12 on a 6-week schedule. Holidays necessitate working one shift of each major holiday. Requests for time off require manager approval. The unit operates with a busy but collaborative culture. Navy scrubs are standard for registered nurses.
