Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Marietta, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,810 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: RN Clinical Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Inpatient Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM Experience: Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred License: RN License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Must-Have: Heparin IV administration experience Description: The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers. They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care. The practice environment is administered by Nurse Managers and supported through a shared governance model. The framework for practice is guided by a professional practice model and evidence-based practice and research. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by core values. All RN Clinical Nurses must be licensed and knowledgeable, upholding the practice of nursing as outlined by state nursing regulations. They implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association. As a member of the patient services team, the RN is expected to uphold patient voices, system policies, and service excellence goals. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Performs the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the delivery of clinical care. Uses evidence-based practice and analytical thinking to ensure that care is individualized and coordinated. Delivers relationship-based patient-centered care that adapts service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity. Partners with patients and significant others in a manner suitable for care setting and purpose. Practices using current clinical standards. Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care in a professional care delivery model. Engages in diverse and inclusive interdisciplinary communication and promotes a respectful, inclusive clinical environment. Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration while being fiscally responsible. Supports performance improvement and participates in research utilization to promote safe and quality patient care. Completes all required education and competency assessments. Serves as a preceptor and mentor for other professional nurses and staff. Promotes evidence-based practice and participates in value analysis for patient care products. Upholds all healthcare organization policies, procedures, and competencies while ensuring safety goals are met. Participates in data collection and addresses practice questions using appropriate resources and evidence. Proactively plans for the care of patients across the continuum. Participates in the development of protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes. Supports efficient use of human and material resources. Performs other duties as assigned.
