working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in
Macon, Georgia, 31201! Job Title: RN - Emergency Department

Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
License: RN License Required Certifications: - BLS (Basic Life
Support) Required - BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) Required - ACLS -
PALS - TNCC - National Certification in Emergency Nursing
(Preferred but not required) Description: This position requires
the nurse to have experience in a busy Emergency Department. The RN
will work night shifts starting at 3 AM. The unit has 61 beds plus
surge capacity. Patient types commonly seen include chest pain,
strokes, diabetes, abdominal pain, motor vehicle collisions,
hypertension, stabbings, and mental health issues. Patient ratios
may vary, with RNs typically assigned 1:4. Support staff includes
CNAs for vital signs, glucose checks, bathing, feeding, ambulating
patients, and hourly rounding. Unit secretarial support and charge
nurses are available. Phlebotomy services and a rapid response team
are on call 24/7 for assistance. Telemetry monitoring is conducted
centrally within the unit. The hospital utilizes the EPIC EMR
system. IV pumps, medication dispensing systems, cardiac telemetry
monitoring, and various emergency equipment are available.
Orientation includes educational modules and departmental
integration. Weekend rotations require 5-6 shifts within a 12-shift
period over six weeks. Holiday work requires one shift during each
major holiday. Requests for time off are subject to managerial
approval. The unit emphasizes teamwork in a busy work environment.
