Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Athens, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,730 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 14 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required. First timers accepted. License: Must hold a valid RN license. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: General Med Surg skills Experience with patient diagnoses including Sepsis, Cellulitis, DKA, Metabolic Encephalopathy, Pneumonia, Pleural Effusion, Hypertensive Crisis, Sickle Cell Crisis, Pancreatitis, GIB, COPD, PE, AKI, Electrolyte Derangements, etc. Experience managing a patient ratio of 1:5-6. Familiarity with Epic and Pyxis systems. Description: The role involves caring for adults and geriatric patients with a variety of medical conditions. The nurse will work within a unit that has a daily average census of 15 patients and a total of 17 beds. Staffing will include interdisciplinary support from teams such as IV, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and others. The nurse will be responsible for peripheral line care and management, along with non-invasive airway management. The nurse must adhere to isolation precautions and be prepared to utilize Rapid Response and Code teams as needed. Weekend work is required every other weekend unless otherwise specified. If one major holiday occurs during the assignment period, the nurse is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the nurse is expected to work both. For three major holidays, the nurse is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day. Full compliance with all requirements is necessary to start on time. Travelers are welcome, and local candidates will be considered.
