Description: Strict 75-mile radius limitation from the traveler's
driver's license address to the facility. Experience required: a
minimum of 2 years in the specialty area. Unit consists of 44 beds
with a staff of 40. Staff-to-patient ratios are 1:5, possibly 1:6
for both days and nights. Electronic Medical Record system used is
Meditech; experience preferred but not required. Nurse aides are
available on the unit, with a typical ratio of 1:8 and generally
1:10. Shifts run from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. There is a weekend
requirement of every other weekend and holidays as needed. Scrub
color is Caribbean Blue. Telemetry is available but monitored on a
different unit. Floating is required to all acute care and
cardiology areas to care for medical patients. General orientation
includes one week of training. Floor-specific orientation consists
of 2 days. The facility is in a city with a population of
approximately 80,000. There are housing options available that have
been visited and confirmed safe and clean. Hotel accommodations are
available at a nearby facility with a favorable rate for contract
workers. Cancellation policy is set at 12 hours every 2 weeks. The
role requires BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications. Requirements
