Job Title: RN Clinical Periop Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse

skills Description: The RN Clinical Periop Nurse is a proactive
member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed
caregivers. They ensure that patients, families, and significant
others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care. They
practice in a clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers
and supported by a shared governance model. The framework for
practice is guided by a professional practice model and
evidence-based practice and research. RN competencies are derived
from these models and supported by core competencies. All RN
Clinical Nurses are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and
uphold the practice of nursing. They implement the Scope of
Practice and Code of Ethics Standards set forth by the professional
nursing association. As a member of the patient services team, the
individual must support system policies and procedures while
promoting service excellence. Core responsibilities include
performing the Nursing Process effectively. This involves
assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning,
implementation, and evaluation of clinical care. They provide
relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with specific
population characteristics. The RN Clinical Nurse collaborates with
patients and significant others to set care goals. They practice
using current clinical standards and coordinate safe quality
patient care documentation. Teamwork and collaboration are
essential, as they foster a respectful and inclusive clinical
environment. The RN participates in performance improvement and
