Job Description Job Description Director of Nursing (DON) - Locust Grove, VA Facility - Residential Setting (Psych/Behavior Health) Schedule: Monday-Friday (with some on-call/after-hours as needed) Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 annually Job Summary The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for leading and supervising the facility's nursing team while ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and compliant clinical environment. This role provides direct patient care, oversees medication management, coordinates with medical providers and vendors, and serves as the Infection Control Designee. Key Responsibilities Lead, hire, train, and supervise nursing staff Oversee medication administration, documentation, and pharmacy coordination Monitor labs, EKGs, and diagnostic results; communicate with providers Coordinate admissions, discharges, and external medical appointments Manage medical supply inventory and vendor relationships Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (VA) 5 years of nursing/clinical experience Mental health treatment experience strongly preferred Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification Valid driver's license with acceptable record Must pass background, TB, fingerprinting, and state clearances Benefits 401(k) with company match Company-paid Life & AD&D insurance Health, Dental & Vision plan options Company-supported continuing education HSA, FSA & DSA options Employee Assistance Program (100% company paid) Referral bonus program Company Description Protouch Staffing is a trusted staffing partner specializing in connecting skilled professionals with top employers.
