Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available
in Piedmont, SD, for an experienced perioperative nurse with a
focus on orthopedic and spine surgical procedures. This position
offers a contract assignment at a busy surgical hospital featuring
11 OR suites and 1 GI suite, handling 30 to 50 cases daily. This
role demands a minimum of two years of recent experience in
orthopedic and spine surgeries, including total joint replacements
and spine procedures such as TLIF, PLIF, decompression, and
cervical fusions. Arthroscopy and hand/foot cases are also part of
the surgical mix. Familiarity with robotic surgical systems,
particularly the Mako Robot, is required. Certified Surgical
Technologist (CST) credentials and current American Heart
Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are mandatory.
Key Responsibilities: Support orthopedic and spine surgeries
including joint replacements and complex spine fusions. Utilize
skills with robotic-assisted surgery systems. Adhere to facility
protocols, badging in and out per policy. Flexibility to float
within the unit or to other surgical departments as needed. Work 10
to 12-hour shifts with no weekend or on-call duties. Benefits and
