of 2 years in a Stepdown unit in an acute care setting is required.
License: A valid nursing license is required. Certifications: BLS,
ACLS, NIHSS preferred. Must-Have: - Ability to read and interpret
cardiac strips. - Experience with drips such as Cardizem,
amiodarone, dobutamine, and others. - Flexibility to work holidays
and weekends. - Willingness to float if necessary. Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Stepdown unit in an
acute care setting. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of
relevant experience without exception. The unit focuses on
cardiology, dealing with patients recovering from various
cardiovascular procedures. The nurse to patient ratio is 1 to 5,
and the unit has 44 beds including semi-private rooms. Nurses in
this unit will be responsible for managing and interpreting cardiac
drips and assisting with telemetry. Experience with BiPap and CPAP
is preferred, as these modalities are used for patient care. This
role requires a strong ability to handle fast turnover of patients,
with an average census of 32-38 patients. Additional experience
with cardiothoracic procedures, including CABG, arteriograms, and
pacemaker placements, is highly valued. Candidates should be
comfortable with the task of floating to the ICU if they have the
necessary background. Compliance with the dress code is required,
including natural hair color and no visible tattoos. This is a
