Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Atlanta, Georgia, 30334 Day Shift Travel Requirements: EMT license in the State of Georgia. Minimum of 1 yr. of experience and BLS required. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and have the strength to push & pull and stand for long periods. Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, the EMT performs technical Emergency Medical Technician duties and assists with other related duties involved in providing age-appropriate patient care to include but not limited to: Assessment & triage, and assistance as per guests’ needs. EMT Competency Skill Requirements: Assessment and basic EMT skills. This contract requires the rapid deployment of qualified caregivers, within 24 to 48 hours, to support emergency response efforts during critical situations. The service areas are made up of 5 zones (159 counties withing the state). Zone 1: Bartow, Butts, Carroll, Catoosa, Chattooga, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, Dade, DeKalb, Douglas, Fannin, Fayette, Floyd, Fulton, Gilmer, Gordon, Gwinnett, Haralson, Heard, Henry, Lamar, Meriwether, Murray, Newton, Paulding, Pickens, Pike, Polk, Rockdale, Spalding, Troup, Upson, Walker, Whitfield. Zone 2: Banks, Barrow, Clarke, Columbia, Dawson, Elbert, Forsyth, Franklin, Greene, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Jackson, Lumpkin, Madison, Morgan, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, Walton, White. Zone 3: Baldwin, Bibb, Bleckley, Burke, Crawford, Dodge, Emanuel, Glascock, Hancock, Houston, Jasper, Jefferson, Jenkins, Johnson, Jones, Laurens, Lincoln, McDuffie, Monroe, Montgomery, Peach, Pulaski, Putnam, Richmond, Screven, Taliaferro, Telfair, Treutlen, Twiggs, Warren, Washington, Wheeler, Wilcox, Wilkes, Wilkenson. Zone 4: Baker, Ben Hill, Berrien, Brooks, Calhoun, Chattahoochee, Clay, Colquitt, Cook, Crisp, Decatur, Dooly, Dougherty, Early, Echols, Grady, Harris, Irwin, Lanier, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marion, Miller, Mithcell, Muscogee, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Seminole, Stweart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor, Terrell, Thomas, Tift, Turner, Webster, Worth. Zone 5: Appling, Atkinson, Bacon, Brantley, Bryan, Bulloch, Camden, Candler, Chatham, Charlton, Clinch, Coffee, Effingham, Evans, Glynn, Jeff Davis, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, Pierce, Tattnall, Toombs, Ware, Wayne. Schedule: The department shall determine the shifts to be worked and shall not guarantee any minimum number of shifts or hours. Shift assignments may include 8-12hours shifts, based on department need. Shifts are based solely on the staffing needs at the shelter and not the supplier staff preferences.
