possible.TheStaff Software Architectis responsible for designing
and developing advanced hardware and software solutions for one of
the world's top life sciences companies. The incumbent will work
closely with our software applications and research associates, as
well as with other functions, to design and develop Mass
Spectrometer software products and capabilities.This position
reports to the Software Development Manager, Chief Software
Architect, and is part of the Software Department located in
Concord, Ontario, Canada and will be an on-site role.In this role,
you will have the opportunity to:
Define and communicate software architecture and design strategies
that align with both functional and non-functional requirements,
ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
Design and develop critical platform infrastructure components
using advanced concepts like threading/async programming.
Design and develop high complexity modules/subsystems for
controlling analytical instruments and data mining with intelligent
algorithms.
Evaluate and recommend new software development technologies,
tools, and practices.
Provide technical leadership by mentoring other less senior team
members, conducting architectural reviews, and ensuring
high-quality product artifacts, including requirement
specifications, design specifications, and code.The essential
requirements of the job include:
Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
Long-standing experience (9+ years) in designing and developing
applications using OOP/OOD. Minimum 5 years of experience in
C#/.NET.
Experience with design and implementation of n-tier systems,
reusable libraries, and development frameworks.
Proven experience working in a cross-functional team of technical
and non-technical personnel.
Strong understanding of architectural principles and patterns,
ability to abstract and conceptualize complex systems, and
documenting designs using modeling techniques like UML.It would be
a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Mass Spectrometer and/or other analytical instruments is
preferred.
