Job Description:
Cox Automotive, a leader in automotive services and solutions,
is seeking a Lead Application Security Engineer to enhance our IT &
Cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for
strengthening our application security posture by designing,
implementing, and overseeing security measures for our software
applications. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding
our digital assets and ensures robust protection against security
threats, directly impacting our offerings to the automotive
industry. Conduct security assessments and penetration tests on
applications and systems Develop and implement secure coding
practices and security controls Manage and mentor a team of
security professionals Collaborate with development teams to
advocate secure coding practices Lead incident response and
security breach investigations Stay updated with the latest
security technologies and threats Prepare security status reports
for internal use and regulatory compliance Proficiency in
programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# Experience with
application security frameworks and standards (e.g., OWASP, SANS)
Strong understanding of secure coding practices and security
protocols Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability
to lead and mentor a team Strong communication skills Medical
