Job Description:
Cox Automotive, a leader in automotive services and solutions,
is seeking a Lead Application Security Engineer to enhance the
security of our application development and deployment processes.
In this role, you will be pivotal in protecting our diverse range
of products and services that support the automotive industry, from
manufacturers to buyers. The ideal candidate will lead efforts in
identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities, enforcing best
practices, and advocating for security across all stages of the
software lifecycle. Develop, implement, and oversee the
organization's application security strategy. Conduct code reviews
and penetration testing to identify system vulnerabilities. Work
closely with development teams to integrate security practices in
the development lifecycle. Analyze security systems and seek
improvements on a continuous basis. Report possible threats or
software issues and collaborate with IT and development teams to
respond swiftly to resolve them. Lead security training and
awareness programs for internal teams. Stay updated on industry
trends and ensure compliance with all security standards and
protocols. Proficiency in security frameworks (e.g., OWASP, NIST,
ISO/IEC 27001) Strong understanding of secure coding practices and
ethical hacking Experience with automated security testing tools
Ability to conduct risk assessments and create mitigation
strategies Strong communication skills with ability to lead and
