Mission/Role: BHL is seeking a Behavioral Health First Responder
that will provide community-based telephonic and face to face rapid
response to children and adults with behavioral health conditions,
intellectual/development disabilities in an active state of crisis.
This role provides services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days

Responsibilities: The Behavioral Health First Responder will
serve as a first responder in Mobile Crisis Response Services
(MCRS). Services will be provided in a community setting including
, but not limited to:
- Clients home, residential settings, other treatment/support
settings, schools, hospital emergency departments, jails and social
- Initiate 1013/2013 as needed.
- The qualified candidate will also be providing clinical
oversight to MCRS team with the complete assessment of the
immediate needs of the individual; the level of risk to the
individual and/or others due to the crisis; contributing
environmental, medical, psychiatric, and/or interpersonal factors;
resources available to the individual in the current setting to
resolve the crisis, and community resources that may be accessed to
resolve the crisis.
- Assist in deescalating the crisis situation through the
provision of support to the individual.

Education: Masters degree from an accredited school with a valid
license in the state of Georgia as an LCSW or an LPC (Must be
legally authorized with the ability to complete form 1013 or
Experience: Minimum one to two years clinical experience.
Assessment, crisis intervention and stabilization skills and
familiarity with the mental health addictive disease service
