install, repair and maintain electrical systems and related
components for industrial machinery and equipment; Install power
supply wiring and diagnose or troubleshoot malfunctions; Repair or
replace faulty components, such as relays, switches, motors or
fixtures. Electricians prepare reports of maintenance and repair
activities, including modifications of schematics or blueprints;
Participate in safety meetings and training activities and follow
established safety and operating procedures and practices.Olin

team.Journeylevel electricians work with minimum supervision and
daily duties involve reading and interpreting work orders,
technical descriptions and safety manuals including NEC and ANSI
and reading and following electrical code, manuals, schematics,
specifications and circuit prints.Candidates that qualify for the
development program will participate in a training program. The 36
month training program will include OJT, classroom, laboratory,
vendor and computer based training components. At the conclusion of
the training program, individuals must satisfy the program
requirements as an Electrician and Instrumentation
Technician.Electricians advise and consult with operators,
engineers, factory or manufacturer representatives or area manager
on maintenance problems and projects; Prepare maintenance or repair
plan, including calculation of material and personnel needs;
Coordinate with operating personnel regarding work permits and
maintenance and repair activities; Install, repair and maintain
motors, electrical operating equipment, alarm systems, switches,
relays and fixtures. He or she will inspect and maintain
transformers, buss bars, circuit breakers, and wiring connections
in power distribution substations; Troubleshoot electrical
equipment, switchgear, controls and wiring using test equipment;
Repair motor, starter and controls, including rewiring and
replacing bearings; Test continuity of circuits to ensure
electrical compatibility and safety of components using voltmeters,
ohmmeters, and meggers.The role troubleshoots equipment
instrumentation and control systems (DCS/PLC/MLC) and the ladder
logic. He or she will calibrate, install and maintain a variety of
instruments used to measure temperature, level, pressure and flow.
This position installs and maintains electrical and pneumatic
systems; monitors specific equipment (CEMS, pH, Conductivity) and
may monitor and replace pressure relief valves. He or she will
monitor plant areas for the presence of combustibles and maintains
and troubleshoots low voltage sensors including proximity switches
and photo eyes.Job activities involve working near heavy equipment,
hazardous materials, at heights (up to 150 ft.), in extreme
temperatures, confined areas, moving machinery and near high
voltage electricity and nuclear detection device. Improper actions
or mistakes could result in serious injury or lethal accidents.
Errors in work could result in loss of quality, productivity and
customer satisfaction. Errors in judgment could result in serious
damage to machines and equipment costing thousands of dollars.
Violation of environmental regulations could result in fines or
penalties. All employees will participate in safety meetings and
training activities and follow established safety and operating
procedures and practices.Electrician Minimum Requirements:High
School Diploma or equivalentCandidate must meet one of the
following criteria:Two years continuous and current electrical
experience; orCompleted Associate of applied science degree in an
electrical related discipline; orCompleted Military Maintenance A
School (Electronics Technician or Interior Communications programs
only)Able to demonstrate basic computer skills, math and
problem-solving; mechanical, numerical and verbal aptitude to learn
our jobs quicklyMust be able to work call-ins and overtime when
support is neededAble to pass a functional physical testing and
able to use standard safety equipment; must be able to lift up to
50 pounds.Able to climb ladders/stairs and work at heights.Able to
work in tight or closed-in spacesPass a physical, drug screen and
background check if job offer is received and acceptedElectrician
Preferred Qualifications:Please note, to be considered for the
journeylevel Electrician position, you must have the following
higher level qualifications:Minimum of 5 years electrician work
experience (industrial setting preferred) or journeylevel as an
ElectricianDemonstrated proficiency as an ElectricianA complete
