About the RoleAtrium Health is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a CT Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our radiology department.Key Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of radiologists, you will be responsible for acquiring, processing, and submitting CT images for interpretation, ensuring diagnostic quality and accuracy.
• You will communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address any questions or concerns.
• Position patients and formulate techniques to demonstrate cross-sectional anatomy, adhering to departmental policies and CT protocols.
• Perform venipuncture for radiopaque media administration and assist with informed consent as needed.
• Review diagnostic imaging requests for appropriateness, communicating questionable orders to radiologists for final approval.
• Take verbal orders from providers and enter them into the RIS system.
• Prepare and maintain records, documenting patient and study information, and billing codes to ensure accurate patient charges.
• Collaborate with radiologists, working independently outside the department with providers.
• Observe patients during radiologic exams, intervening as necessary, and contacting primary caregivers for instruction.
• Provide guidance, direction, and mentoring to other personnel, including student radiographers.
• Identify and correct problems, reporting critical occurrences to the next level of authority.
• Utilize supplies and equipment efficiently.
• Maintain required continuing education and certifications for modality.Requirements
  • High School or GED Diploma Graduate.
  • Graduate of AMA, JRC, or Regionally Accredited approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Registered or Registry eligible through the ARRT.
  • ARRT CT registry required in accordance with Work Instruction EMP 8.
