MAINTENANCE WORKERAbout River Edge Behavioral HealthServing more

Behavioral Health services provides state-of-the-art treatment and
support services for more than 13,000 children, youth, families and
adults annually, who experience mental illness, addiction,
co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.River Edge
Behavioral Health is Central Georgia's unsurpassed resource for
mental health and substance use disorder treatments and supports,
as well as supports for individuals with intellectual and
developmental disabilities.Under the supervision, of the Facilities
Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for performing
routine building maintenance on multi-family apartments,
single-family houses, and clinical / medical facilities. Tasks
include but not limited to (e.g. carpentry; electrical; heating,
ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing, etc.). The
hours for this position is 8:30am-5:00pm Monday-FridayESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs repair or general maintenance
work of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment at various
sites including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, glazier,
and painting tasks.Maintain the building HVAC equipment in order to
keep climate control in the facility functioning properlyPerforms
minor repairs, troubleshooting, and adjustment of locks on
cabinets, locks, closets, desks. Perform preventative measures to
facilities to reduce the risk of future issues and potential safety
hazards. Service kitchen equipment, appliances, and emergency
equipment, reporting mechanical malfunctions to party for action.
Moves and assists in transportation of furniture and equipment.
Exercises discretion to identify projects that need higher skilled
crafts individual's services.Assists in obtaining quotes and
arranging for services of outside vendors as needed; annotates and
updates work logs for specific site requirements.Activates and
deactivates building alarms and respond to alarm calls after and
during regular work hours.SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS:Ability to use
efficiently various power and hand tools.Ability to drive and
operate State owned motor vehicles. Safely operate State vehicles
and /or construction equipment in all weather
conditions.Communicate efficiently and fluently in both written and
oral form. Ability to establish and maintain effective and
cooperative working relationships.Follow orders and complete work
assignments with a minimum of supervision.Apply methods, practices,
and procedures in preventative maintenance, inspection, repair,
renovation, and minor construction of buildings and
utilities.Assist other trade personnel in their work.Observe,
record, and report unsafe working conditions.Follow safety
standards in working with multiple services, tools, and
equipment.Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and schematics as
they relate to buildings and utilities services
systems.QUALIFICATIONS (Educational and/or Experience):Fully COVID
Vaccinated.Any combination of education, training, and experience
which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and
responsibilities as described including related work experience in
one or more of the building trades.Possession of a valid Georgia
State driver's license; willingness to work outside (if necessary)
in inclement weather. The employee must regularly lift and /or move
up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50
pounds.The employee must be able to climb ladders and work in high,
precarious places up to elevations of 175 feet.If selected for
