Hours: Monday Friday 8AM 4PM

The Lead Quality Assurance Technician will facilitate and assist in the Quality Assurance, document control, safety functions at the plant and daily quality SAP (centralized enterprise management system. They will also work with production personnel to create and maintain continuous improvement in products and services to our customers. A top-class Lead Quality Technician can efficiently monitor the quality of products without impeding production rates.


  • Support Quality Assurance & Quality Control Manager in scheduling and management of all equipment calibrations.
  • Manage the schedule of Quality Assurance Technicians
  • Conduct training for new Quality Assurance Technicians.
  • Inspect product during the extrusion process using calipers, micrometers, tape, and weight scale
  • Compare product with customer specifications
  • Inspect and tag finished product
  • Issue SAP Quality Notifications as required
  • Test incoming raw material and maintain records
  • Operate diagnostic equipment needed to perform job
  • Issue Product Certifications
  • Maintain neat and orderly work area
  • Follow all safety requirements
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or requiredEDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
    • 2-3+ years' experience working in Quality Control, quality assurance, or inspection in a manufacturing environment
    • Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and file management, Data Entry for reporting
    • SAP or ERP inventory systems (desirable)
    • Reading, writing, and mathematical competency testing required
    • Data management and data integrity
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or a small group
    • Experience in quality / inspection procedures preferred
    • 1+ years of management/supervision/lead experience
      • Ability to learn/use laboratory and inspection equipment
      • Able to step over and / or bend under objects
      • Able to lift up to 50 Ibs with or without reasonable assistance
      • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends and nights
      • Plastics Manufacturing a plusWORKING CONDITIONS:
        • Work in manufacturing environment and inside quality control laboratory
