Business Development Manager - SLED and Government Accounts (Individual Contributor Role) Location: Austin/Houston, TX (30% Travel) Type: Full-Time About Us: BuzzClan is a fast-growing MBE/WBE certified IT solutions provider specializing in government technology services. We deliver staffing, cloud, data, and application solutions to public sector organizations nationwide. The Opportunity: As an individual contributor BDM, you'll own the full sales cycle for SLED accounts while supporting our Sales VP in managing strategic federal/state government relationships. This is a hunter-farmer role where you'll both develop new business and nurture existing client partnerships. Key Responsibilities: Drive revenue growth across state/local governments and education (SLED) sectors Manage and expand relationships with existing government clients nationwide Support Sales VP in strategic Gov/state account management Develop winning proposals for RFPs/RFIs/RFQs across multiple contract vehicles Maintain 4-5x pipeline coverage of quarterly targets Represent BuzzClan at government tech conferences and industry events Collaborate with solutions teams to architect client-specific offerings Must-Have Qualifications: 5 years selling IT services to government (SLED) Proven track record managing -M government accounts Deep understanding of government procurement cycles and contracting Experience with GWACs, IDIQs, and state cooperative contracts Ability to work independently as an individual contributor Willingness to travel as needed (up to 30%) Preferred Experience But Not Mandatory: Existing relationships with government IT buyers Knowledge of Texas DIR, NASPO, and other cooperative contracts Background in IT staffing, cloud, or data solutions Familiarity with government security requirements (FedRAMP, CJIS) Why Join?
